Today (17), the 3rd edition of Ninhal de Dança (Dance Nesting Ground) begins in Corumbá. The event is organized by the Fundação da Cultura e do Patrimônio Histórico and is supported by the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, through the Fundação de Cultura de Mato Grosso do Sul. The schedule continues until tomorrow, Sunday (18).
The name of the gathering comes from one of the symbols of the Pantanal, the Ninhais (nesting grounds). The solidity of the structure of these spaces, sculpted by the science of nature to shelter birds, symbolizes genesis, the beginning of a cycle. From there, the birds can set off on a true open-air ballet.
And it is through the poetry of the body that the event presents one of the strongest artistic languages of our state, dance, which will feature performances by local, regional and national companies, offering the community a return to in-person activities with plenty of art.

“How many mediterraneans are our worlds made of? Some gigantic, gaining strength and voice in the news. Others so tiny that they only fit in the footprints they leave in front of us. Some visible, generating commotion and empathetic demonstrations. Others so pale that only verbal abandonment can reach them.
