On April 12 and 13, Sesc Lageado, in Campo Grande, will host the Sesc Partituras – Concertos Locais (Local Concerts) project, which will feature workshops for the unit’s students and a concert open to the public with the OCAMP Trio (Orquestra de Câmara do Pantanal, the Pantanal Chamber Orchestra).

On Friday, the 12th, at 3 pm, there will be a concert for the unit’s students. On Saturday, the 13th, there will be a masterclass in the morning and at 3 pm there is a concert open to the community.

“Hosting Sesc Partituras is a joy for us, since we are a unit within a peripheral territory that works with orchestra and possibilities within music. This cultural exchange with the teachers is very interesting for the students and for our technical staff too,” says the manager of Sesc Lageado, Cirlene Cruz.

The Trio – Orquestra de Câmara do Pantanal is made up of Vinícius Lakus, on piano; Melissa Lazo, on violin; and José Maikson, on cello, a group formed by Moinho Cultural.

“Bringing people who travel all over Brazil, some even from abroad, into this territory, forming an audience and giving the opportunity for, besides the students, the community to sit and listen and take part in a concert, is an incredible possibility and we are very happy to host this first stage of the Sesc Partituras project,” says the regional director of Sesc MS, Regina Ferro.

About – The Sesc Partituras Concert series is turning 12 years old in 2024 and promotes public access to the works on the Sesc Partituras website through live performances. There are 60 concerts a year in units across the country, encouraging cultural production and access to Brazilian music.

Sesc Partituras is a virtual music library made up of digital scores, works transcribed through music publishing software. The project’s collection includes music by Brazilian composers from various generations, from the colonial period to the present day, with original works of historical interest. The site provides free access to the scores.
