Moinho Cultural, an NGO in Ambev’s volunteer project, allocates part of its resources to children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic
Amid wildfires, and a scarcity of resources and opportunities, the crisis imposed by Covid-19, according to Márcia Rolon, executive director of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Cultural Mill Institute), was a moment to catch a breath and pause in everyday life to look at the processes.
At first, the NGO, which for 15 years has offered dance, art, computer science, and school support classes to children and adolescents in situations of vulnerability, adapted its courses and services to the online environment.
The organization provided mobile phone SIM cards to those who did not have internet access and allocated basic food baskets to families living in greater vulnerability.
