Moinho in Concert enters final rehearsal stretch to celebrate the paths that lead to the sky

In alignment with the global solidarity movement of Giving Tuesday, this Tuesday (2nd), Moinho Cultural launched an appeal to the community to strengthen its cultural and socio-educational actions. Spontaneous contributions help ensure the continuity of the free music, dance, technology and literature activities offered by the institution for more than 21 years.

Celebrated in more than 90 countries, Giving Tuesday encourages social engagement and support for impactful initiatives. In Corumba, the date mobilizes Moinho Cultural to reinforce community participation in the sustainability of its projects, which serve more than 500 children, adolescents and young people from the border region.

Over more than two decades, the space has established itself as a center for artistic and civic education. Participants have access to classes in music, dance, technology and literature, as well as pedagogical support, exchanges and professional opportunities. All activities are free, made possible through partnerships, sponsorships and donations from society.

The Institute’s executive director, Monica Macedo, points out that Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to strengthen the culture of generosity. “When the community mobilizes, the impact multiplies. Every donation strengthens the continuity of projects that broaden horizons, reveal talents and transform lives in the border region,” she states.

This year, the campaign precedes one of the most anticipated events by Moinho Cultural: Moinho in Concert. The show, which brings together music, dance, technology and stories from the border, will be presented on December 13 and 14, with free admission. The production involves months of preparation and the participation of more than 500 artists — including orchestra, choir, dancers, educators and youth served by the institution — reinforcing the importance of community support for the continuity of far-reaching cultural initiatives.

Donations can be made in person at the Moinho Cultural headquarters or via Pix, in any amount. All funds raised will go toward the continuity and expansion of the activities offered by the Institute.
