State representative Paulo Duarte (PSB) took part, on Friday afternoon (25), in an event to hand over technology and security equipment at the Instituto Moinho Cultural, in Corumbá. The material was purchased with funds from an amendment allocated in 2024 by the lawmaker, in the amount of R$150,000.

During the ceremony, 28 microcomputers, 28 19-inch monitors, 28 wired USB keyboards, 28 wired USB mice, plus 28 Windows 11 Pro licenses and a Dell Power Edge Server were delivered, which will be installed on the Institute’s premises in early May. Located in the Porto Geral area of Corumbá, Moinho Cultural is a reference for the entire Pantanal region for carrying out important social work with around 450 children and adolescents who live in this border area.

For the president-director of the Instituto Moinho Cultural, Márcia Rolon, receiving the 28 computers from representative Paulo Duarte, through a parliamentary amendment, greatly contributes to the comprehensive development of the participants of Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano.

“From a young age they already need to become familiar with this technology, and besides that, this equipment serves as school support. They are not simply machines, they are tools that will open a path for the boys and girls of Moinho toward a future where they can create soundtracks for games, create innovative compositions and reach the level of great composers,” she highlighted.

Paulo Duarte stressed that Moinho Cultural has the essential characteristic of investing in people and believing in young people. “From here will come artists but, certainly, above all, will come adults, men and women, who see in culture the transformative power that only it possesses,” he concluded.
