This Sunday, October 26, the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano takes over screens across Brazil in a special report aired on the program Fantastico, on TV Globo, as part of the series of inspiring stories from Crianca Esperanca.

The filming, carried out on the 13th and 14th of this month, in Corumba (MS), shows up close the daily life of children and adolescents whose lives are transformed by art, culture and education on the Brazil–Bolivia border.

Over two days, the TV crew closely followed the routine of the Institute’s participants, capturing moments of togetherness, musical and dance performances, as well as testimonies from young people such as Izabelle Paiva, Analice Martins, Raphael Conceicao and Jose Dorado, who embody the impact of the work carried out at Moinho Cultural.

The report also highlights Crianca Esperanca’s partnership with Moinho Cultural, a collaboration that has already produced concrete results. In 2021, the program allocated funds for the complete renovation of the Institute’s Library, transforming the space into a modern, welcoming environment. Recently, the institution was again selected in a grant call, strengthening its work in art, culture and education on the border.

“This airing on Fantastico is a recognition of more than 20 years of work dedicated to shaping and transforming lives on the border. Crianca Esperanca is an essential partner in this process, which believes, as we do, that art changes destinies,” says Marcia Rolon, Moinho Cultural’s artistic director.

With footage of the Orquestra Jovem do Moinho Cultural (Moinho Cultural Youth Orchestra), the Cia de Danca do Pantanal and the daily routine of the young people who live Moinho every day, the report invites the public to see up close the transformative power of art on the South American border.
