Damage to the roof of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Cultural Mill Institute) building, caused by the severe storm that hit the city of Corumbá on September 12, has generated new losses and disruptions to the institution amid the recent days’ rain.
In a video posted on Moinho’s social media, Márcia Rolon, president of the institute, shows that classrooms were flooded, damaging materials and instruments. Classes also had to be suspended.
A fundraising campaign is being carried out to cover the budget for the roof repair, which unfortunately turned out to be quite costly, and the institution does not have the free resources for this much-needed action.
