On December 13 and 14, at 7:30 pm, Moinho Cultural, in Corumbá, will host the show “O Fazedor de Amanhecer“ (The Dawn Maker), a celebration of the institute’s 20 years that brings together art, poetry and music to inspire transformation. Based on the work of the same name by Manoel de Barros, the event features the iconic illustrations of Ziraldo, provided by the Instituto Ziraldo, as well as special appearances by singer Márcio de Camillo, creator of the show “Crianceiras,” and international flutist Celina Charlier.

The show, presented as a public class, follows the phases of life. The narrative begins with love, moves through regression—represented by the transformation of the butterfly into a caterpillar—and culminates in rebirth and the hope of new dawns. According to Márcia Rolon, executive director of Moinho Cultural, the event proposes a reflection on society’s accelerated pace and the urgency to change attitudes in order to reverse environmental and social decline.

Besides performances of classical ballet, music and poetry, the show highlights the figure of Bernardo, a character from the book, who symbolizes warmth and resilience. The closing will feature a surprise international guest, reinforcing the message of hope and transformation.

Admission is free, but invitations are limited and must be picked up in advance at the Moinho Cultural office. In addition, “O Fazedor de Amanhecer” promises to be a unique and transformative experience.
