The Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Moinho Cultural Institute), through the Ministério do Turismo (Ministry of Tourism) and the Instituto Cultural Vale, has opened registration for an extra program of OSC (Civil Society Organization) activities. These are music workshops for the following instruments: violin, cello, classical viola, double bass, French horn, oboe, and bassoon.
Applicants must be between eight and 17 years old and do not need prior experience. Registration runs until August 26 and must be done in person at Moinho Cultural, located at Rua Domingos Sahib, 300 – Beira Rio neighborhood, in Corumbá. Presentation of the personal documents of the guardian and the participant, proof of residence, and the guardians’ Covid-19 vaccination card are mandatory.
Classes begin on August 30, will last three months, and will take place twice a week in person, with 1-hour-15-minute classes. For more information, the contact phone number is 3231-8436.
These activities will add to the programs already carried out by Moinho Cultural within the Programa Vale Música (Vale Música Program), a collaborative teaching and learning network run by Instituto Cultural Vale, which creates opportunities for students to take part in musical training in the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pará, and Mato Grosso do Sul.
