Moinho presents discussion on social protection of children and adolescents

The Núcleo Social (Social Center) of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Moinho Cultural Institute) holds a chat this Wednesday (9) to address the theme “Social protection of children and adolescents.”

In a livestream format, the meeting on the 9th will take place on the Institute’s YouTube and Instagram channels and aims to promote contact between parents and guardians, as well as the general public, on issues that significantly impact the lives of children and adolescents, in order to guarantee basic rights.

The event will take place at 7 pm, Mato Grosso do Sul time, and will be hosted by Jessyka Karolaine Alvares, social worker and coordinator of the Núcleo Social of Moinho Cultural; and Márcia Rolon, director of the organization, in addition to guests Tânia Regina Comerlato and Viviane Vaz.

Tânia Regina Comerlato is a psychologist, postgraduate in Gender and Public Policy, is a councilor of the State Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents of MS and of the State Council for Human Rights, participates in COMCEX/MS and the Intersectoral Commission for Combating Sexual Violence against Children and Adolescents of MS, bodies dedicated to defending the human and sexual rights of children and adolescents, and is Manager of Social Actions of the MS State Tourism Foundation.

Viviane Vaz is a psychoanalyst; in 2011 she founded Projeto NOVA, an NGO that assists victims of sexual abuse and exploitation with psychosocial care, of which she has since been full-time coordinator, also offering psychoanalytic care to victims of sexual violence. She is a speaker on Sexuality, Sexual Exploitation and Prostitution, Violence against Women, and Prevention and Consequences of Child Sexual Abuse, among other humanitarian topics. She is an activist for the rights of children and adolescents, and against gender violence. She is a writer of articles for blogs and online newspapers.

Instituto Moinho Cultural

Located in Corumbá for 16 years, the Institute is a civil society organization (OSC) that offers children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in Corumbá, Ladário, Puerto Suarez and Puerto Quijarro dance, music, technology and computer science classes; a service of social engagement and strengthening bonds between institution, family, school and participant, in addition to training creative performers for young people and adults, through the dance company, technology center and orchestra. Its mission is to reduce social vulnerability in the Brazil-Bolivia border region through access to cultural and technological assets.

In 2020, Moinho was recognized by Instituto Doar with the A Seal, qualifying it as a certified organization. This recognition legitimizes and highlights the professionalism and transparency of the OSC, with the aim of further encouraging a culture of giving.
