Dança em Trânsito Festival arrives in Corumbá on August 24 and 25

Dança em Trânsito (Dance in Transit), an international contemporary dance festival, arrives in Corumbá for the first time, in the year it celebrates 20 years of existence, to present six shows by national and international companies free of charge on August 24 and 25.

On the first day of performances, the will begin at 4pm, at the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Moinho Cultural Institute), with ROTAS PLURAL. Next, the show Adapta-bilidade, by Nimo Cia de Dança, will be presented, making an appeal to the audience. “Free yourself from the worldview that society imposes on you, look! Observe! Recognize and value people for the way they treat other people and not for their position, color and gender”, states director Gleidson Vigne. The first night ends with the presentation of the result of the creation residency led by Spanish choreographer and dancer Kiko López.

On the 25th, the Dança em Trânsito performances will open at 4pm with the show Ekesa-Sanko, by Cia Corpus Entre Mundos, from Brasília. Next, at the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano, Kiko López presents W.I.W.B.A.K.,

Closing the Dança em Trânsito schedule in Mato Grosso do Sul, the show Café não é só uma xícara (Coffee is not just a cup) will be presented, by Grupo Tápias – a French-Brazilian company associated with Espaço Tápias.
