Video was produced by participants of the institution, during a course in partnership with Sesc MS and Eureka Filmes
The two decades of history of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Cultural Mill Institute) motivated the production of an institutional video, which reinforces the importance of donations and volunteering in the institution’s history. The video is the result of the Sesc Lab MS course, held in partnership with Sesc MS and Eureka Filmes. Watch at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1IdduYj9cc&t=65s
Moinho Cultural’s executive director, Márcia Rolon, states that the video celebrates 20 years of a history built with dedication, purpose and transformative impact. “Over these two decades, Moinho Cultural has been more than a place of learning; it has been a true catalyst for dreams, serving children and adolescents, as well as providing opportunities that change lives. This journey would not be possible without the strength of our partnerships, such as Sesc MS and Eureka Filmes,” she emphasizes.

The institutional video conveys through images and emotions everything that Moinho Cultural is and represents. One of the participants of the course that gave rise to the video was Tahani Melissa Hurtado de Moraes, 13 years old.
“It was very beautiful, it was really fun and I learned several great things I never imagined I would learn about the technology side. Taking part in this experience was something really great, that bore a lot of fruit. Besides that, I had the opportunity to take part through the Moinho. I learned about camera movements, about framing, about focus,” recalls the Moinho Cultural participant.
For Sesc’s manager in Corumbá, Cirlene Cruz, the first audiovisual course class could only be with Moinho Cultural. “The partnership between Sesc and Moinho Cultural goes back a long way. The first class was made up of Moinho Cultural participants, bringing extra knowledge to these students who are already on the cultural scene. The film turned out very beautiful, very sensitive, and that was really the goal of this workshop: to bring that sensitivity, that more artistic outlook to the production,” she explains.

The course was taught twice a week, at Sesc’s headquarters, in Cidade Branca. The course aimed to train new video editors. The training covered everything from script formatting, audio and image capture, to going deeper into editing and finalizing videos. In all, 12 young people took part, divided into two classes.
