The Dança do Pantanal (Pantanal Dance) show will be performed this Sunday (18th), on Avenida General Rondon, in Corumbá.

The event is part of the third edition of the Ninhal da Dança event.

According to the city government, this year the gathering joins the celebrations of the 244th anniversary of the Cidade Branca (White City), and its two nights of performances will be dedicated to groups from Corumbá, who will perform choreographies in various dance styles.

The third edition began yesterday and will conclude this Sunday.

Eleven institutions from the city are taking part in the event: Academia Patrícia Gonzalez, Casa de Dança Elton Roberto, Cia de Dança do Pantanal (Pantanal Dance Company), Grupo de Dança do PCAF, Grupo Femme Power, Grupo Royal Move Crew, Grupo S’Dance, Grupo Urbe, Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano, Studio de Dança Ana Paula Honório, and Oficina de Dança de Corumbá.

The event features a special participation by Ginga Espaço de Dança, from Campo Grande, which will bring two award-winning choreographies from the Festival de Dança de Joinville/SC (Joinville Dance Festival), “Pelintra” and “Omolú,” both created by choreographer Diógenes Antônio Pivatto, winners of the Brazilian Popular Dances category in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

The closing of the second night will be the responsibility of the Cia de Dança do Pantanal, which will present the show Migrantes (Migrants), created by choreographer Wellington Júlio and directed by Márcia Rolon.
