From November 12 to 14, the Fundação da Cultura e do Patrimônio Histórico de Corumbá (Corumbá Culture and Historical Heritage Foundation) will hold the second edition of the event Ninhal da Dança. The name of the gathering comes from one of the symbols of the Pantanal, the Ninhais (bird nesting colonies). The solidity of the structure of these spaces, sculpted by the science of nature to shelter birds, symbolizes genesis, the beginning of a cycle. From there, the birds can set off on a true open-air ballet.
And it is through the poetry of the body that the event presents one of the state’s strongest artistic languages, dance, which will feature performances by local, regional, and national companies, offering the community a return to in-person activities filled with art.
The event’s three nights will feature performances of various dance styles (classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, street dance, among others), providing a varied, multiple, and unique experience, much as we usually contemplate the exuberant ballet of birds with their many colors, voices, rhythms, sounds, and fluidity.
In all, 19 dance groups and companies from Corumbá and Campo Grande will take part in the event, and the opening night will feature the participation of Focus Cia de Dança, from Rio de Janeiro, with the show “As canções que você dançou pra mim”.
Revisiting great hits by singer Roberto Carlos, the Rio de Janeiro-based company, choreographed and directed by Alex Neoral, will present a show aimed at all ages. A critical success, the four couples take to the stage set to fragments of songs by the King, creating moments of great emotion.
For the second and third nights, the mix of various guests, bringing diverse choreographic styles, will guarantee a dynamic that will surely please the Corumbá audience.
The event is held in partnership with the State Government, through the Secretaria de Cidadania e Cultura / Fundação de Cultura de MS (FCMS) (Secretariat of Citizenship and Culture / MS Culture Foundation), and will take place at Praça Generoso Ponce (Avenida General Rondon, Centro).
