Group premieres performance at the 18th Bonito Festival and then takes the show to other municipalities

The Cia de Dança do Pantanal (Pantanal Dance Company) begins the ‘Migrantes’ tour which, until September sixth, will pass through several municipalities of the State. The premiere of the performance, which portrays the reality of those who come and go, takes place at the 18th Bonito Festival, this Saturday (27), at Praça da Liberdade.

“We are going to bring our art to several parts of the State. This is the first time we’ve toured so many municipalities in such a short period, and it will certainly be an enriching experience for the Cia de Dança do Pantanal and also for everyone who attends our performances”, says the executive director of Moinho Cultural, Márcia Rolon.

The company visits Miranda, Aquidauana, Campo Grande, São Gabriel do Oeste, Rio Verde, Coxim and Três Lagoas in the coming days. State schools will serve as the stage for the dancers and the show.

The main show to be staged is ‘Fernão Capelo Gaivota’ (‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’). The work by Richard Bach tells the story of a seagull who believes that flying is not simply an act of getting around. The story addresses issues related to freedom, learning and love.

About Migrantes – The work tells the reality of those who come and go. The performance speaks a little about the loves left behind when one leaves a place in search of something new, happiness, and about being welcomed.
