The Cia de Dança do Pantanal (Pantanal Dance Company) is celebrating 9 years of its journey, bringing art from Mato Grosso do Sul to national and international stages. To mark the occasion, on March 16, the group presents the shows “Guadakan” and “Carne Quebrada” during the Mato Grosso do Sul edition of the Femina Vox International Forum.

The initiative is linked to Unesco and brings together leaders, researchers, artists, and representatives of society to discuss gender equality, social justice, and climate change. The performances take place at the Centro de Convenções Rubens Gil de Camillo.

Created by artist Guila Clara Kessous, Femina Vox has, since 2021, promoted international gatherings that seek to strengthen intercultural dialogue and expand the presence of women’s voices in different areas of society. The 2026 edition takes place both at Unesco’s headquarters in Paris and in Brazil, with activities in Mato Grosso do Sul and Brasília.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the gathering is themed “Femina Vox Pantanal: Mulheres no Enfrentamento das Mudanças Climáticas” (Women Facing Climate Change), bringing together discussions on female leadership, international cooperation, and alliances aimed at promoting equality and social justice.

For Márcia Rolon, artistic director of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Moinho Cultural Institute), bringing Pantanal dance to an international forum is a way of expanding the reach of the messages that art can convey.

“It is very meaningful to bring the dance of the Cia de Dança do Pantanal to an international dialogue space like Femina Vox. Art has the ability to touch on deep and urgent themes, such as climate change, the relationship with nature, and the role of women in building new paths for society,” she highlights.

The audience will be able to watch the shows “Carne Quebrada” and “Guadakan” on March 16, 2026, in two sessions, at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., at the Centro de Convenções Rubens Gil de Camillo.
