Companhia de Dança do Pantanal and Orquestra de Câmara do Pantanal

The proposal is to establish a professional dance company and orchestra with an investigative vocation, made up of Brazilian and Bolivian dancers and musicians, as well as artists from other South American countries, all of whom can also be educators. The work would be linked to educational methodologies and processes and could eventually incorporate a youth-leadership program. The company and orchestra represent a strategic factor of great relevance. First, because it is a vital aspirational factor, since the project arose motivated by this idea. Second, because it acts as a kind of catalyst for the IMC’s activities, broadening and deepening the practice of interpretation-creation. Third, because it proposes a political-aesthetic meaning for the educational endeavor, moving it away from the commonplace (Cartesian) framing of social inclusion. And fourth, because it opens a more competitive front for Moinho to compete for sponsorship through tax-incentive laws and/or cultural marketing, whether raising funds for its own operations (which are synergistic with the others) or expanding the visibility and availability of promotional counterpart spaces.
