Last night, Tuesday, the 12th, at the City Council, was a night of tributes to the Quarteto Legato (Legato Quartet), formed by musicians from the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Cultural Mill Institute), who perform great classical music works.

The tribute was an initiative of councilmen Alexandre Vasconcellos and Allex Dellas, and received approval from all the other members of Corumbá’s Legislative Branch.

On the occasion, Commendation Motions were presented to Maria Fernanda Castilho Acosta (violin), Daniel Castilho Acosta (cello), Marco Antônio de Souza (violin) and Pedro Henrique Castedo Aldama (double bass), as well as to conductor José Maikson Amorim Alves, and coordinator Vinícius Klaus.

The Quarteto Legato is made up of musicians from the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano and is already considered ‘exceptional’ by the entire team of the institution, which carries out work aimed at reducing the situation of vulnerability of children and adolescents in the border region through access to cultural assets and technological knowledge.
