Moinho Cultural named one of the 100 Best NGOs in Brazil 2024

Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano, of Corumbá, was chosen, once again, as one of the 100 best NGOs in Brazil. Instituto Doar – Certificadora Social and Instituto O Mundo Que Queremos promote the Award annually.

The Award takes into account requirements such as good governance, transparency, communication and funding practices. Thus, the Organizing Committee evaluates five major themes: cause and strategy of action; representation and accountability; management and planning; funding strategy; and communication and accountability reporting.

This is not the first time Moinho Cultural has received Best NGO awards. In 2021, the institute received the award for Best NGO in Mato Grosso do Sul. Then in 2023, in addition to also being recognized as the best in the state, it was ranked among the 100 best NGOs in Brazil.

“This recognition reflects the serious and committed work we have carried out over 20 years at Moinho Cultural, providing transformative opportunities for children and young people in situations of vulnerability. The award celebrates not only our dedicated team, but also the partners and communities who believe in the power of education, art and culture as tools of social transformation,” states Moinho Cultural’s executive director, Márcia Rolon.

The list of organizations that received recognition for their good practices is available on the Award’s website. The announcement of the state highlights will be in November.
