‌J&F Mineração is the new supporter of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (South American Cultural Mill Institute). Founded 20 years ago, in Corumbá, Moinho Cultural has already served more than 23 thousand children and adolescents and, in the past year, was recognized as one of the 100 best NGOs in Brazil and, for the second consecutive time, the best NGO in Mato Grosso do Sul. ‌

The company announced a donation of R$ 500 thousand to the institution. According to J&F Mineração, the support “reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting culture and citizenship in the region and recognizes the importance of investing in initiatives that promote human and cultural development, strengthening ties with the communities where it operates”. ‌

For the executive director of Moinho Cultural, Márcia Rolon, the support from J&F Mineração contributes to the continuity of the institution’s activities.

“We thank J&F for its support, as it is a way for us to continue the work we have been doing for two decades and that has changed the reality of the border region where we operate. Moinho Cultural is now seeking a new sponsor to help us not only continue the work we already do, but also expand it whenever possible,” she said.

About Moinho Cultural

Founded in 2004, Moinho Cultural is a civil society organization that operates in Brazil’s border territories for the positive transformation of the local reality, giving voice and opportunity to children, adolescents, and young people through access to cultural assets, technological knowledge, notions of entrepreneurship, and full citizenship. Since the start of its activities, more than 23 thousand children and adolescents have been served by the institution.

Currently, Moinho Cultural has sponsorship through approved and ongoing projects with the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, through the Fundação de Cultura de Mato Grosso do Sul (Mato Grosso do Sul Culture Foundation) and the Municipality of Corumbá.

Institutional partners include J.Macêdo, Fecomércio MS, SESC, the Municipality of Ladário, the Municipality of Puerto Suárez, the Municipality of Puerto Quijarro, Instituto Homem Pantaneiro, IFMS, UFMS, Acaia Pantanal, and other individual and corporate donors.

To carry out the Biennial Plan of the Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano 2024/2025, the institution has so far raised 26.5% of the total amount approved under Brazil’s Rouanet Law, with the following partners: Instituto Cultural Vale – BTG Pactual – Mineração Corumbaense Reunida S/A (J&F), Panamericana de Seguros S/A (Too Seguros) – Real & Cia Ltda, and individual donors.
