Musicians and dancers from the Instituto Moinho Cultural gathered this weekend to pay tribute to the life and career of singer and songwriter Tetê Espíndola. Under the theme “Menina Passarinha” (“Little Bird Girl”), the performance drew more than a thousand spectators to the central square of Corumbá.
In addition to the choreography, the performance also featured a children’s choir, who sang and interpreted the songs in Brazilian Sign Language. Watch the video above.
The evening’s honoree was also present; Tetê, who was in the audience, went up on stage and performed.
“It feels like I had a déjà vu of my life. There were several moments when I remembered something, a passage from my life, and that is moving for me,” said the singer.
