Corumbá hosts tour honoring Charlie Brown Jr. band this Sunday

Instituto Moinho Cultural Sul-Americano (Moinho Cultural Institute) opens its doors this Sunday (23) to host the Nova Orquestra (New Orchestra) tour honoring the Charlie Brown Jr. band. Ten musicians from Moinho Cultural and OCAMP (Orquestra de Câmara do Pantanal, Pantanal Chamber Orchestra) were invited to take part in the tour and now perform at home. The show “Dias de Luta, Dias de Glória – Um tributo à Charlie Brown Jr” will be presented starting at 8 p.m., with free admission.

The tour brings together Nova Orquestra’s musicians with young people from institutions served by the programa Vale Música (Vale Música Program), including Moinho Cultural. The tour passes through Rio de Janeiro, Brasília (DF) and, after the performance in Corumbá, will wrap up in São Luís (MA).

“It’s the second time this year that Moinho Cultural members have gone on tour with Nova Orquestra. But this time, there’s one more reason to celebrate: we’ll see them on our own stage, in our own home. That’s why we invite the public to come cheer on our boys and girls here in Corumbá,” says Moinho Cultural’s executive director, Márcia Rolon.
