Nine musicians from the Instituto Moinho Cultural, an entity from Mato Grosso do Sul, and from OCAMP (Orquestra de Câmara do Pantanal) are taking part in the “Exagerado” tour this April, honoring Cazuza, an icon of the 1980s. Besides them, members of the Nova Orquestra and other young people from the Programa Vale Música will also be present at the unprecedented concert.
“Exagerado” will have artistic direction by conductor Eder Paolozzi, principal conductor of the Nova Orquestra and the Funk Orquestra. Great hits by the singer are among the performances: “Ideologia,” “O Nosso Amor a Gente Inventa,” “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz,” “Codinome Beija-Flor,” “O Tempo Não Para,” “Exagerado,” among others.
The tour will premiere this Tuesday (5), in Rio de Janeiro. The date is one day before Cazuza’s birthday. He would have turned 64 this 2022. The following day, April 6, the musicians will perform in Vitória (ES); April 8, in Belo Horizonte (MG); and April 10, in Belém (PA).
The concert, besides being sponsored by Instituto Vale, through the Federal Cultural Incentive Law, has the blessing of Cazuza’s mother, Lucinha Araújo. “I get very emotional when they honor my son, even more so with an orchestra,” she said.
